A number of tines on our 5-year old dishwasher had begun to show rust spots. After investigating replacing the two racks, the cost was going to be about $150. I decided that the Dishwasher Rack Repair was well worth trying. Bottom line the product was an excellent soulution, instructions were clear and the time required to do the repair did not take very long. I did not use all the materials sent, so I have plenty for additional repairs as needed.

My dishwasher rack had several prongs that were rusting and falling off. It took me about 35 minutes to put a cap on every prong in my dishwasher. It looks so much better (I just twisted off the bent up rusty tops of the prongs filed them in a bit to make the caps fit them – as they had expanded a bit). I wore my own gloves and had no problems. The glue does dry out as you work, and the brush gunks, but I was able to get by with just the one bottle, although I had ordered another as back up. I also painted a few rusty spots with the liquid. All is holding up quite well a week later (no caps have come loose).

The 130 pack fit my dishwasher perfectly (none to spare) – be sure to count yours if you plan to redo all of them!

Update: Four months later they are still all right where I placed them and still look great. It gave my dishwasher a nice face-lift and they dont’ really get in my way (glasses…are a bit more snug, but still fit well).

I couldn’t find this repair kit in any home supply store, so it was worth it to buy online. The liquid does dry quickly, so you need to plan ahead which spots you want to treat, and re-cap the bottle if you need to pause during treatment. The only warning about the caps is that they only come in one size and were too small to slide over most of the tips on my dishwasher rack. I had to use just the liquid with 2 applications. It worked well enough.

These little caps are great. We love our dishwasher but not the rust spots it was putting on our lovely glass dishes. Now, no problem, the caps covered the areas where the coating had worn off from years of use and no more rust spots on our dishes. My husband removed the spots from the dishes and no more have appeared. Thanks for a great product. He even put some of the liquid goop where we could not use a cap and it has done well!

This stuff is great and so easy to use. I wanted to replace the rack but decided to try this instead. The new rack was going to cost about $150. It has been about 3 weeks since I repaired the rack and it is as good as new. Also this kit had so many more tips than the other ones that I checked out that I have enough to repair it all over again if it ever needs it.

This is a good product and the caps were easy to adhere. These caps took care of my dishwasher rack problem in no time at all!

I purchased these in August of ‘09 and I put them on myself, shortly after they arrived, so they have been on my dishwasher for 6 months and not one has come off.

I read through all of the reviews before I purchased the item and I even printed up a couple of the reviews, that gave me sound application instructions and it not only worked as advertised, but after six months, way beyond my expectations.

I placed them on my bottom rack only, because that is where the damage was happening. I put newspaper on my kitchen table, placed the rack on the paper and one by one, opened the bottle of latex, applied a small amount to a tine, closed the bottle of latex and then squeezed the cap, pushing the air out of the cap and put it on the tine letting go as I pushed down and in about an hour I was done with the entire bottom rack.

I also used some of the latex to touch up side areas and it has stayed on as well and I must say the rack looks great and I use the dishwasher everyday, I own heavy dinnerware and I run a full load.

I would recommend this product to any one who is tired of looking at those rusty, pointy things (Tines) in your dishwasher, I found the price fair and the shipping fast.

Our dishwasher racks were starting to rust pretty badly and were leaving rust marks on the dishes. We really didn’t want to spend the money on new racks, so we decided to try the Uber Goop White Dishwasher Repair with 130 caps. We were a little hesitant because we read some reviews that said the caps fall off, but we haven’t had that problem. The trick seems to be to sand the rusty tips well, and to apply the caps immediately after using the goop, then waiting at least 48 hours to use the dishwasher. That’s what we did and over a month later, all caps are still firmly attached; not one has come off! This product is definitely worth the money because it saves money on purchasing a new dish rack. The best part is that the soft rubber tips prevent scratches on your dishes! Wholeheartedly recommend this product.

This product saved my dishwasher. I moved into my new home to find the racks in the fairly new dishwasher to have rusty tops and some rusted cross beams. I used a rotary tool to take away the rust and then used the liquid vinyl and the tops to cover. That was 10 weeks ago and it has been great ever since. I highly recommend this as a step before replacing your rack(s).
